Actor, casting director, and filmmaker based in New York.
Originally from Yunnan, China, I came to the U.S. in 2014 to study Public Health at Columbia University. Upon graduation, I decided to pursue acting, as it has always been my passion since I was a child. I was trained at Stella Adler Studio. I played lead roles in NYC Women's Fund-winning film Yu Under Water; and What Do We Call This (Hawaii International Film Festival); and supporting roles in MGM film Preparation for the Next Life, directed by Oscar-Nominee Bing Liu, and Same Old (Cannes Short Films Competition).
As a filmmaker, I strive to tell original stories about women that explore the complexity of humanity in varied cultural contexts. My directorial debut short film Swans of Hudson River premiered at the New York Shorts International Film Festival; my second short film Sound of Fire is currently in the festival run.
As a casting director, I am passionate about discovering new talent. I’ve cast one feature film, more than 30 short films, and multiple vertical mini-series. Commercial clients include Google, Sephora, Vivo, etc.
“I have striven not to laugh at human actions, not to weep at them, nor to hate them, but to understand them.”
